Client: The Verband der Elektrotechnik Elektronik Informationstechnik e. V. (Association of Electrical Engineering Electronics Information Technology) ‒ VDE for short ‒ is a technical and scientific organisation founded in 1893. With around 36,000 members and 1,600 employees, the VDE is one of the largest specialist interest groups in Europe. It works to advocate the promotion of research and of young talents. Each year the independent auditors from the VDE Institute test more than 100,000 devices. If a device passes the tests it is certified according to the VDE’s own standards.

Project: Restructuring within the association brings changes that have to be explained to everyone involved. The task was to sensitize employees and partners to and win them for this change. With an association of this size, clients, association members, and committees must also be convinced of the new structure and organization.

Target: It is essential to embrace Industry 4.0, digitisation and other future trends in the context of the electrical industry in order to optimally prepare one of the largest associations in Europe for the future. Therefore, it was conveyed to all stakeholders that changes are something positive and open up plenty of new opportunities.
